I tried to start this back in January, the start of a New Year. One that I hope never to see, to feel and to hear and experience again. It was almost like the first time when you realize that you are not immortal. It sent me on a quest to discover the underbelly of life, I guest you can say. Where idealism and Bull S.it collide and it goes every where. Where the sins of not wanting to get involved, although, what you have seen has cause you a feeling of "something is not right". Knowing that things were found and enough people saying that they had a bad feeling about someone, yet did nothing. When your out in the wilderness, it's like being at sea, alone you have other people around but their going to their own trails end and back. They have thier life preserver and they don't quite know if that person is in trouble, although the feeling was bad maybe it's nothing at all. Can she swim? You don't know if you want to use your life preserver or hold back and let somebody else use theirs. In the mean time, the person you don't quite know is getting further away and out of sight. Out-of-sight, out-of-mind. Until the next day at work or listening to the radio or someone else hearing this and asks you "did you here about the lost hiker" in the North Georgia mountains, she's missing she didn't make it home last night. And all the people that were up there the day before whisper to themselves "shit", what did I do? What should I have done? Why did I not do something? Crap, oh man, oh man.
The hiker's friends are greatly worried and head out to find her. 911 in Union County is called and all are alerted, search and rescue the sheriff's department and the dogs are brought in and try to pick up her scent in the cold freezing air, from her car to where she was attacked. I hope I'm wrong about this, but from what I heard and from someone I know up there, the dogs went right back down to the parking lot where she was forced into this monster's van and drove off with her and her poor dog inside.
I'll be adding things to this as time allows and possibly show what the GBI did or should I say not did, would have change the out come. And in the proses maybe find out why people so apathetic, to the point of showing what a sickness has done to normally good people. Maybe it was the election and all of that turning folks into airheads. But in that one month three young woman from Georgia and one 19 year old snatch from a friends home in Nevada, thier lives were taken from their family their friends and all the good they would done for every one's lives they touched. And those young woman are the one's we have heard about, there are many that just slip through and we don't hear about.
